My Summer Playlist

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing with you my summer hits for 2018. Yesterday I spent the day at a lake with one of my closest friends and we had such a nice time and ride there. We listened in the car, as well as at the lake to my favorites from this summer.

summer playlist.jpeg

My Top 3 songs are:

Ariane Grande – God is a woman

This song is so good, I sometimes wakeup and have it in my ear without even hearing the song. I don’t follow her music much, but this one I love.

iiola – sickly sweet

By far my favorite this summer, heard this on my long train rides to College and it’s just a beautiful song in general. Really love it!

LANY – Thru These Tears

Love this one! I just love a lot that LANY does and I absolutely fell in love with this one when I heard it.

What are some of your summer favorites this year? Let me know, always open to new suggestions.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Healthy Summer Salad

Hey my loves,

in today’s entry I am going to show you a recipe for one of my favorites nutritious salad that I love making for lunch and sometimes even dinner in summer.

48AF0AA5-60FC-45AF-90C8-0294188743AC.JPG

Ingredients:

  • Lettuce
  • 1/2 of a bell pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • a handful of mushrooms

  • a handful of shredded carrots
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 100g low-fat yoghurt
  • Salt, Pepper, Paprika and Garlic
  • Basil & Parsley
  • 45 g feta cheese

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry your lettuce and cut into mouth-sized pieces.
  2. Wash and cut you bell pepper and tomato.
  3. Wash and cut your green asparagus and mushrooms.
  4. Put a little bit of olive oil into a pan and start cooking the chicken breast.
  5. In the meantime use a microwavable dish and put a little bit of water in and add the asparagus and a little bit of salt and microwave for about 2-5 minutes (it all depends on the asparagus and the microwave you have)
  6. Assemble the lettuce, bell pepper, tomato and shredded carrots on a plate.
  7. While your chicken is cooking you can start making the sauce. For that just mix the yoghurt with all the spices and herbs.
  8. When the chicken is almost done add the mushrooms to the pan and cook them through.
  9. Assemble the rest of the ingredients on the plate and top it of with the sauce and crumble the feta cheese over. Enjoy!

What is your go-to salad in the summer? Leave me your recipe down below.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Spring to Summer Makeup Look

Hey my loves,

in today’s entry I am going to talk about the makeup look I’ve been wearing for the transition to summer. Where I’m leaving it’s currently a heat wave so we’ve been having temperatures up in the 25 C.

Processed with VSCO with dog2 preset

As per usual I like to keep it minimal for the everyday basis, especially because I’m usually out the entire day at Uni. What’s also important is a very long-lasting makeup and a sweat proof one, because – duh – it’s summer, so it’s usually hot. Haha xD

Here’s the makeup I used to create my look:

7fcae55a-5de9-408a-a3f4-6b108f2e67d8-e1527943705938.jpg

As you can see I’m currently loving a lot of Maybelline products and I think that’s amazing. I personally think they have really upped their game with their new products and I think that for their price they are amazing, long-lasting products.

For my eyes, I used a combination of the three bronzer shades in the Master Bronze Palette in the crease and under-eye. And a little bit of the gold from the palette on my lid.

My lip color varies on my mood and when I took that picture I felt bold so I went with a bright fuchsia color. I love the mattes from NYX, though I wish they were a little bit longer lasting.

What are your go-to makeup products for summer? Tell me in the comments, I would love to know.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Jasmin.

Food Festival

Hey my loves,

yesterday I went to a Food Festival in my hometown with some friends, and what was expected to be just like a two hour or something trip turned into almost six full hours. We laughed so much and had such good food and I thought I would share them with you.

6F94E76C-FC96-499B-9BF7-F5A3CB8FDC54.JPG

I shared all the food with one of my friends and except for one everything was SOOOO good. We also had some Nachos with cheese, which to be fair were alright but looked and tasted like the ones you can buy and not the homemade kind and the cheese sauce was super runny almost watery. We also bought some Fudge, I haven’t eaten it yet, but I went for Mango Yoghurt and something with raspberry chocolate, I think.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

We started off with this delicious looking ‘Pulled Pork Cheese Burger’. IT WAS AMAZING! I could have eaten tons of them. I just love pulled pork and with the sauce they made it. It was delicious.

After the Nachos, which like I said weren’t great, we went for this ‘Tres Chicos’ which is basically BBQ pulled pork with three potatoes and sour cream. The pork was amazing, just like the one from the burger, and I even enjoyed the potatoes (I’m not the biggest fan of potatoes). It was really good!

And of course, what can’t be missing on a festival like this? Right, DESSERT. I went with this black charcoal vanilla ice cream with sprinkles in a red cone and one of my other friend hat peanut butter and jelly ice cream which apparently was amazing too.

I do have to say though, eaten black ice cream in public is so weird, it stained my tongue, my lips and a little my teeth, but all was good after I wiped it off and had some water to drink. But it was a delicious and very filling ice cream! I felt so L.A., lol xD!

Do you like going to Food Festivals? Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

What I Eat In A Day – Summer Edition 2016

Hey my loves,

it’s time for another ‘What I eat in a day’ post… I haven’t done one for a while so I thought I would share with you what I’ve been eating recently! I’m currently on a vegetarian diet just to see if I look and feel any different without eating meat, if you like me to I could write about my experience, just let me know in the comments.

Alright, let’s dive into the food:

Breakfast – Berry Muesli with fresh Raspberries

Breakfast.jpg

This breakfast is so filling and tastes absolutely amazing! The berry muesli consist of wholegrain oat flakes, mix of dried berries (raisins, strawberries, raspberries & currants), whole wheat flakes, dried apple, roasted buckwheat and sunflower seeds. I used vanilla soy milk and some fresh berries to complete my breakfast.

Lunch – Cheese, Egg & Avocado Sandwich

SAMSUNG CSCSAMSUNG CSC

What you will need:

2 slices of toast

1/2 of an avocado

a few cocktail tomatoes

1 egg

1 slice of cheese

1 lettuce wrap

salt & pepper

ketchup

I love this for lunch. It’s filling, tasty and gives me enough energy to last ’til Dinner. You throw your bread in the toast while frying an egg in a pan on medium heat, season it with salt and pepper and then you start to layer it all on top of the bread. You will start with a spread of avocado, I mushed mine together with a bit of s&p and a squeeze of lemon juice, then the lettuce follows. On top of that goes the sliced tomatoes and the egg. Then add your cheese and spread some ketchup on the second slice of bread and top it of! And last but not least enjoy this heavenly sandwich for Lunch or Dinner.

Dinner – Cheese Tortellini Salad with fresh Vegetables

Lunch.jpg

What you will need:

handful of arugula

handful of lamb’s lettuce

handful of lettuce

handful of cheese tortellini (boiled and cooled)

2-3 sliced radushes

1/4 of a bell pepper

some crumbled feta cheese

Dressing: oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, agave syrup

Just throw the ingredients together and top it of with the dressing and enjoy this healthy and filling salad! You can obviously add or change up your vegetables and greens! That’s just what I had leftover in my fridge! I love making a salad with added tortellini or even sometimes with a bit of quinoa! It definitely adds something else to your salad!

I hope you enjoyed this entry! If you did make sure to give it a thumbs up! I would really appreciate it! What are your go-to recipes for summer? Tell me in the comments.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Summer Reading List – My Recommendations for you – 2016

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing with you five books I absolutely loved reading and of which I think they are perfect to make it on your summer reading list. As you might or might not know I love a good thriller so there is not really a surprise that almost every book I’ve read are pretty intense. But I still hope you enjoy this entry and if you do make sure to give it a thumbs up! I am not going to tell you too much about the books, basically I’m going to write the blurbs here so that you get a nice little feeling of what the book is about. And maybe I’m giving a hint or two what I loved about it.

So here are my recommendations for you:

Flatlay.jpg

Gillian Flynn – Sharp Objects

If you’ve been a reader for a while you might know how much I love this book. I wrote an entry about it, check it out here: Gillian Flynn – Sharp Objects Review

What is it about?

“Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: She must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful thirteen-year-old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family’s Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims – a bit too strongly. Dogged by her own demons, she must unravel the psychological puzzle of her own past if she wants to get the story – and survive this homecoming.”

Cody McFadyen – The Face of Death

It’s the second installment of the Smoky Barrett series by Cody McFadyen. It’s seriously so gripping and I absolutely loved every single book of the series.

What is it about?

“The girl is sixteen, at the scene of a grisly triple homicide, and has a gun to her head. She claims “The Stranger” killed her adoptive family, that he’s been following her all her life, killing everyone she ever loved, and that no one believes her. No one has. Until now. Special Agent Smoky Barrett is head of the violent crimes unit in Los Angeles, the part of the FBI reserved for tracking down the worst of the worst. Her team has been handpicked from among the nation’s elite law enforcement specialists and they are as obsessed and relentless as the psychos they hunt; they’ll have to be to deal with this case. For another vicious double homicide reveals a killer embarked on a dark crusade of trauma and death: an “artist” who’s molding sixteen-year-old Sarah into the perfect victim—and the ultimate weapon. But Smoky Barrett has another, more personal reason for catching The Stranger—an adopted daughter and a new life that are worth protecting at any cost. This time Smoky is going to have to put it all on the line. Because The Stranger is all too real, all too close, and all too relentless. And when he finally shows his face, if she’s not ready to confront her worst fear, Smoky won’t have time to do anything but die.”

Dave Eggers – The Circle

This one is very, very close to home. With technology surrounding us every time. So be prepared to be freaked out.

What is it about?

“When Mae Holland is hired to work for the Circle, the world’s most powerful internet company, she feels she’s been given the opportunity of a lifetime. The Circle, run out of a sprawling California campus, links users’ personal emails, social media, banking, and purchasing with their universal operating system, resulting in one online identity and a new age of civility and transparency. As Mae tours the open-plan office spaces, the towering glass dining facilities, the cozy dorms for those who spend nights at work, she is thrilled with the company’s modernity and activity. There are parties that last through the night, there are famous musicians playing on the lawn, there are athletic activities and clubs and brunches, and even an aquarium of rare fish retrieved from the Marianas Trench by the CEO. Mae can’t believe her luck, her great fortune to work for the most influential company in America–even as life beyond the campus grows distant, even as a strange encounter with a colleague leaves her shaken, even as her role at the Circle becomes increasingly public. What begins as the captivating story of one woman’s ambition and idealism soon becomes a heart-racing novel of suspense, raising questions about memory, history, privacy, democracy, and the limits of human knowledge.”

Chris Carter – The Crucifix Killer

I only recently wrote an entry about this book, so check it out here: Chris Carter – The Crucifix Killer Review

What is it about?

“In a derelict house in LA, a young woman is found savagely murdered. Naked, strung from two wooden posts, the has been ripped from her face – while she was still alive. On the nape of her neck is a carved strange double-cross: the signature of a psychopath known as the Crucifix Killer. But that’s not possible. Because, two years ago, the Crucifix Killer was caught and executed. Could this be the work of a copycat? Or is Homicide Detective Robert Hunter forced to face the unthinkable? Is the real Crucifix Killer still out there, taunting Hunter with his inability to catch him? Robert Hunter and his rookie partner are about to enter a nightmare beyond imagining…”

Jodi Picoult – My Sister’s Keeper

You need to keep tissues handy for this one! I’ve cried so much while reading it and if you have seen the movie you know what I’m talking about!

What is it about?

“Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate — a life and a role that she has never challenged… until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister—and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable, a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves.”

Do you have any recommendations for me or have read any of these books? Let me know in the comments.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Summer Sunsets – June 2015

Hey my loves,

a couple of weeks ago I wanted to capture the sunset so I drove to a nearby lake with a friend. We had a lovely afternoon/evening, we went swimming, eat a sneaky Burger King and had lovely talks. So today I wanted to share with you my photos and also leave you a little message:

Take time. Take time for your friends. Take time for your family. And take time for special moments. Life is not always about achieving something but sometimes much more about taking these moments in. Live life.
