I don’t know about you, but I always like to try out new and exciting beauty things, especially when it comes to prolonging the youth of my skin. So, when I was asked to review a Derma Roller System** I immediately said yes. But why do I want to try a derma roller and what even is a derma roller?*
What is a Derma Roller System?
The derma roller, which is basically a microneedle roller, has the ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin. Both, collagen and elastin, help to promote healthier skin cells in the body. The derma roller can help to treat problems such as wrinkles, skin hyperpigmentation, scars (including acne scars – which is amazing if you ask an acne scar-girl), uneven skin, stretch marks and hair loss. If you want to know more about the benefits of using the derma roller, check out their website: www.dermarollersystem.com
What needle size did I choose?
Over the next couple of weeks I will try out my Derma Roller System and will give you back a full review on it.* I decided to pick the 1.0 mm needle, because it check off most of the problems I want to tackle. To find out which of the needle sizes is the best choice for you, you can check out their chart: Needle Size Guide – Derma Roller System
As soon as I tried it, I will write a review about it and will go into depth on how to use it and how it works*. If you are interested in trying it yourself, check out their guide: How the Derma Roller Works
Since I can remember I am struggling with skin issues. But this year my skin has become much more radiant, healthier and I also have a lot less acne or active breakouts. Even my acne scars are starting to heal a little bit. If you want to know how I cleared my skin, keep on reading, because I am about to tell you.
Firstly, I introduced a healthier diet into my life. I made sure to eat less processed food and also cook more with veggies and don’t eat as much of red meat and sugar. This helped with my skin enormously in the way that it cleared my skin off most of the active breakouts, since they usually appeared because of an unhealthy diet.
Then I make sure to take my makeup off EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, even if I don’t want to and am lazy, I do it. If you leave your makeup on overnight your pores will get clogged and with that breakouts are much more likely to happen especially if you have an acne prone skin, like me.
My skincare routine at night consist of the following steps:
Then take a makeup wipe to wipe the product off and get rid of any excess makeup. I prefer a makeup wipe, because I would have to use a new cloth every single evening, because I found out that even with cleaning the cloth with hot water and soap it still had some product left and that leads to me having breakouts.
Another thing I introduced into my everyday life was days without makeup. I used to wear makeup even when I was just running errands, I now don’t do that anymore. Simply to give my skin a little break and to breathe. I also make sure to get at least seven hours of sleep at night, so that my body and skin has enough time to rejoice itself. Last but not least, I doubled my water intake and take b12-vitamins.
What are some of your tips and tricks of clearing your skin? What has worked for you? I would love to know. I hope that this entry gave you a little insight into my routine and maybe some of my tricks will help you too.
in today’s entry I am going to talk about the makeup look I’ve been wearing for the transition to summer. Where I’m leaving it’s currently a heat wave so we’ve been having temperatures up in the 25 C.
As per usual I like to keep it minimal for the everyday basis, especially because I’m usually out the entire day at Uni. What’s also important is a very long-lasting makeup and a sweat proof one, because – duh – it’s summer, so it’s usually hot. Haha xD
As you can see I’m currently loving a lot of Maybelline products and I think that’s amazing. I personally think they have really upped their game with their new products and I think that for their price they are amazing, long-lasting products.
For my eyes, I used a combination of the three bronzer shades in the Master Bronze Palette in the crease and under-eye. And a little bit of the gold from the palette on my lid.
My lip color varies on my mood and when I took that picture I felt bold so I went with a bright fuchsia color. I love the mattes from NYX, though I wish they were a little bit longer lasting.
What are your go-to makeup products for summer? Tell me in the comments, I would love to know.
in today’s blog post I am going to talk about my morning skincare routine with you. I believe I posted in January about my evening routine and now I thought it is time to talk about my routine in the morning. If you want you can check out my evening routine here: My Evening Skincare Routine
I try to keep my morning routine as short as possible, because I think I am not the only one, but in the morning I just can’t be bothered for a long process. I just want to lay in bed as long as possibly and that means cutting down time wherever possible. So here are my skincare steps in the morning:
In the morning I use two different kind of cleansers. When I am under the shower I use the ‘Neutrogena – Visibly Clear exfoliation Wash Gel’. I feel like if I would use that on a daily basis it would leave my skin too matte, and I personally like a glowing skin a lot, but the cleansers helps with peeling of any dead skin. If I don’t shower I tend to use the ‘L’Oréal Paris – Fine Flowers Wash Gel’, as you might know from my ‘Evening Routine’ I love using this range by L’Oréal.
Now, I don’t do this everyday, more like every two to four days. I love exfoliating my face with the ‘L’Oréal Paris – Sugar Scrubs Glow Peeling’. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and it is not so harsh. If you want to know more about it, check out my review: L’Oréal Paris – Smooth Sugar Glow Scrub Review

Now to my last step of my routine – moisturizing. I am currently using a combination of two products, because my skin can use a little bit more moisture at the moment. I start by using the ‘L’Oréal Paris – Hydra Genius Moisturizer’ and then go in with the ‘L’Oréal Paris – Hydra Active 3 Moisturizer’, both are for sensitive. I prefer using products that are designed for sensitive skin types because more than once I noticed my skin is much better off with those products. If you want to know more about the ‘Hydra Genius’, check out my review: L’Oréal Paris – Hydra Genius Moisturizer Review
What is your skincare routine? Tell me or link me your routine in the comments. I would love to know about it.
Winter time always means super dehydrated and flaky skin for me, my normally combination skin is way more on the dry side in the colder months. But this moisturizer by L’Oréal literally saved my skin and leaves it feeling super hydrated and tight.
As you might know from my Evening Skincare Routine I’ve been using quite a lot of L’Oréal Products lately and that is due to the fact that since using these products my skin has improved immensely.
They are drugstore products, but for myself a bit on the pricier site. But you really need just tiny amounts from the skin care range and that means they last a really long time.
I use this moisturizer every morning and evening and if I am wearing makeup I still go in with another moisturizer. In the beginning I have been using this hydra one before my normal ones, but I realized quickly that I wouldn’t need that.
I can highly recommend this product and for every skin type they have a different one. I’m using the one for the sensitive skin and have been super happy with it.
in today’s blog post I am showing you what I got on my holiday. I really didn’t go crazy or anything, it was more about spending quality time with my family than shopping. But here’s what I got:
L’Oréal Paris – Sugar Scrubs Glow Peeling
I love this stuff! All the new L’Oréal skin care stuff is so good and I really enjoy using them. This sugar scrub is perfect for a hard scruff but also for a light everyday use. As you can see I’ve been using it frequently and it leaves my skin feeling and looking amazing. I will definitely try the other two from the series.
L’Oréal Paris – Hydra Genius Aloe Water Sensitive Skin & Rituals – The Rituals of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel
I’ve used the foaming shower gel before and absolutely fell in love with. It lasts really long and you only need a tiny amount of product for your entire body! And I love the smell.
The Hydra Genius Aloe Water by L’Oréal was a first try for me. I think you can use it as a moisturizer on its own, but I have been using it before my actual moisturizer and I can see a change it my skin. It feels tighter, more alive and so much more hydrated and healthy. And you only need like one to two pumps of it and it’s more than enough product for you entire face, which means it will last long as well.
CEDON – Note Pad and Notebook
The small notebook is checked and the note pad is doted which is perfect if you want to add it into a bullet journal. I just really enjoy the prints. I don’t know if you can get them anywhere but Germany, but Amazon does have some on the german site, so if you are interested in buying them check that store out.
I hope you enjoyed today’s entry and if you want check out my Holiday Entry. I wish you all a wonderful day!
