Coloring My Hair Pink & Realizing Things

Hey my loves,

today it’s going to be a little bit of a personal blog entry. The last couple of weeks were tough for a number of reasons and I struggled very hard to upkeep a positive mindset. And while I was in this situation and feeling down a lot, I looked at a lot of different blogs and YouTube channels from other content creators and fellow bloggers who struggle too and it helped. It made me realize that I am not alone in this.

But who got me through it all were my amazing friends who were and still are there for me, even if that means just making me laugh and not talk about it. Sometimes that’s just right. So a huge shout out and thank you to my friends! I love you girls!

Now, you might notice that I never actually talk about any struggles or at least never go into detail and to be honest that is just because I feel like sharing my problems, my private problems, is not something I want to do on a broad platform. But I kind of feel like I want to change that, but in a dimension where I don’t go into my family problems. But rather my struggles with staying motivated and positive.

A couple of days ago I had one of my moods growing out of struggles that just became too much and I decided I needed a change. And that change was dip-dying my hair pink.

You might know the saying: A picture is worth a thousand words.

When I look at that picture I see a girl who struggled very hard the day before with all her emotions, a girl who had to put on makeup and get out of the house and pretend everything is okay the next one, because where she was going she couldn’t talk about her struggles.

But do you want to know what I also see?
I see a strong woman, who knows that she is stronger than the overwhelming feeling of pain. I see a strong woman, who puts a lot of people first and loves hard. And I see a woman, who is broken, but stands up every damn time.

I see a human with so many great friends, who are her family sometimes more than her actual one. And I see someone who at the end of the day knows that there is always something to live for, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Some days may be hard, some days may be great. That is just how life works.

1

If you are struggling, if you are having dark thoughts, if you feel like you are alone in this world, know this: You are not alone. You are loved. You are worthy.
Please make sure to talk to someone. Here are some sites:

13 Reasons Why Info & Telefonseelsorge

Talk to your friends, to your family or reach out to stranger. You will be surprised.

What I am trying to say is: With all the social media out there, with all the “happy lives” you see, with all the “happiness” around, you can easily think that it is just your life, that it is just you. But here’s the thing: Everyone has struggles. Some are worse, some are not. But everyone has their own struggles they bear every day. Just because social media says something else – better – portrays something else, know this:

A picture says a lot more than what you can see.
A picture is a moment of pretense.

Yes, some pictures aren’t that, but let’s be real, most of the pictures are. Just remember that is okay too. You don’t have to show everyone your pain, but you also do not have to hide it.

Now, I am going to sign off and spend the day reading for a term paper and trying not to procrastinate and Netflix instead.

I am very thankful for everyone here on this platform who follows and reads my blog! I hope you all have a wonderful day and spend it laughing!

XoXo,
Jasmin.

Travel Tip – Landschaftspark Duisburg

Hey my loves,

another Travel Tip from me for you. A couple of weeks ago I went to the ‘Landschaftspark Duisburg’ with a friend and we had yet another little photo session. It was also kind of the first day of the year where the weather was actually warm enough so you could wear less clothes. It was so sunny and beautiful there that I decided to write you a little post about it. But, before I share some of my favorite scenic photo opportunities with you, go over and check out my first ‘Travel Tip’. Have you seen my latest? Travel Tip – Düsseldorf Altstadt

TITEL.jpeg

If you love architecture and a history to a place, you will enjoy the ‘Landschaftspark’. There are so many great places to take photos at, whether for a more edgy look or something more soft and glam. On that day we saw three actual photo shoots going on. A bridal, a prom and a group photo shoot. So it’s THE place to shoot there! And I cannot even imagine how beautiful it will look in summer when all of the greenery is blossomed. I will definitely go back there!

What are some of your local top spots for photo shoots? Tell me in the comments. And also, have you ever been to the park in Duisburg then tell me as well or link me on your photos.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Travel Tip – Düsseldorf ‘Altstadt’

Hey my loves,

as some of you might now I love Düsseldorf and so it seemed more than natural to me to do a travel tip for you about my favorite part about the city, which is it’s ‘Altstadt’. If you have ever been to Düsseldorf you now which part it is, because it is the best part of the city with a perfect view of the Rhine.

A couple of weeks ago I went on a little photo mission with my friend Miri to show you some of the places. We went along the Rhine, we even went into some small streets, which I never have been to and ended up somewhere in the Art District. I had so much fun, and I hope that these photos make you want to stop by and visit Düsseldorf. So here is a quick look at some of the photos we took.

Have you ever been to Germany? Tell me in the comments where you have been, I would love to know.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Spring Break – Travel Diary – Bavaria – 2016

Hey my loves,

as you might know last week I went on holiday to South Germany to visit my family. I had such an amazing time and got to spend some quality time. But we also did some fun and interesting sightseeing and of course we had to go shopping. Today I’m going to share pictures of the places we went to:

I travelled to Bavaria on Sunday 20th and on that day we didn’t do anything, except to go on a walk in the beautiful town they are living in (you can see a pic above).

On Monday 21st we then travelled to Landshut and visited the ‘Trausnitz Castle” and did a little bit of shopping in the city.

On Tuesday 22nd we drove to Munich, which was about a 35 minutes drive from where we were. We visited ‘Nymphenburg Palace’ and the ‘Chinese Tower’ and also went a little bit shopping in Downtown Munich. I finally bought myself the ‘MAC – Pro Longwear Concealer’.

Wednesday 23rd was probably one of my favorite days, because we got to see so much and also because we went on a little road trip. And I LOVE road trips. We drove to ‘Linderhof Palace’ and had a little tour of it, sadly we weren’t allowed to take photos inside the palace, but it was stunning. After the palace we drove through ‘Garmisch-Partenkirchen’ to a little town called ‘Mittenwald’ which literally looked like Santa Town. We ate some delicious pizza and took a stroll through the small town. After that we drove back and made a stop in ‘Murnau’ at a beautiful lake, where I quickly jumped out of the car and took some pictures.

My last full day was Thursday 24th and on that day we drove to the historic city of ‘Regensburg’ and went shopping. Sadly I left on Friday 25th afternoon, but I had the best holiday I could wish for. The weather was pretty good except the day I was leaving and I had so much fun. But enough rambling, here are some of the photos I took:
