My Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey my loves,

in today’s blog post I am going to talk about my all time favorite eyeshadow palettes. When it comes to my eyeshadow I am not much of a crazy color kind of girl, but I do love a good smokey eye in various shades.

I’ve taken all the pictures with the flash light on, just fyi.

Urban Decay – Naked 3

I LOVE this palette, you can do an intense smokey eye or a natural every day kind of look. When I thought about buying one of the ‘Naked’ palettes last year I was debating which one to get, but it was either this one or the ‘Naked Heat’ palette (which I might invest in later this year). I love the colors and I think the go great with my eye color. My favorite color has to be ‘Mugshot’, but ‘Buzz’ is a very close second.

NYX – Lid Lingerie

This palette has been my everyday shadow palette the entire fall/winter season. You can create so many different looks with this and I love that all the shades are matte. They have a great color pay off, are easy to blend and have almost no fall out at all. I’ve been highly enjoying the burnt orange shade.

NYX – Full Throttle  in Color Riot

This palette has been with me super long. It’s my most used palette for fall season. Those colors just scream Fall to me, don’t you agree? I especially love the cranberry red and lately I’ve been enjoying the orange shade a lot.

NYX – Beauty School Dropout 101 in Nude

As you can see I almost hit pan with quite a lot of the shades and that’s because, I believe, this palette has been with me for about three or four years and has been my everyday shadow for as long. I believe that it got replaced by the ‘Lid Lingerie’ palette some time ago, because I wanted a more matte eyeshadow look back then. But whenever I am doing a bronze smokey eye, I always go back to these shades. The second shade next to the gold is my absolute favorite from the entire palette!

NYX – Love Contours All

This palette has not only nine different shades of eyeshadow, but also includes two highlighters, two contour colors, as well as two shades for the eyebrows. To be honest with you, I almost did not put this into this entry, but there are three shades of this palette that I absolutely love and have been using more frequent as of lately. And that is the gold highlight, the third eyeshadow from the first row right under the mirror and the dusted lilac shadow. I just love these colors, so I had to put them into this entry!

What are your favorite eyeshadow palettes? Tell me in the comments.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

NYX Love Contours All Review

Hey my loves,

long time no see again. I’m so sorry, but I have been busy with the move of my grandma and Uni started again, so I haven’t gotten around to writing. But today is different, I have a day off and completed everything I had to do for University so I can write for you guys guilt free.

I recently bought the NYX Love Contours All Eye and Face Sculpting Palette, and the KIKO Milano lipstick in 106 and I was able to play around with them little bit. And I have to say: I LOVE THIS PALETTE! And the lipstick is as always great too! The color pay off is amazing and the eyeshadows stay on all day, which I personally love since I’m usually in Uni all day.

Ok, now a run down of everything that is in this palette: You’ve got two highlight shades, two contouring shades, nine eyeshadows and two eyebrow powders. And, as you can see in the picture, the shadows are a mix of matte and sparkly. Both of the contour shades are matte and that is amazing! I do have to say though that I liked the lighter highlight powder more, simply because I feel like I don’t have enough tan on.

All in all, I have to say that this palette was a great investment and that I absolutely adore it! I can only recommend it, especially if you are on the look out for a palette you can take on holiday with you! Here’s where you can buy it:

I hope you enjoyed today’s entry and if you did make sure to share it and also it would mean a lot to me if you could thumbs up this entry! Thank you so much!

I wish you all a wonderful day and a great start into the new week!

Daytime Smokey-Eye Look

Hey my loves,
today’s Make-Up look is a daytime smokey-eye which you can wear to work or if you have a daytime event and need to wear something simple but yet glamorous. Here is the look:

And here is a close-up for the eyes (I’m sorry for the blurry images, but I had to use my phone, because I don’t have a working Camera):

Step 1

Apply sticky tape in an angle upwards from you under-eye, but keep it lower. We want to elongate the eyes instead lifting them up.

Step 2

Take an angle brush and any black eyeshadow and create a winged line, you don’t have to be too precise because we are going to blend over it soon. Make the line as thick or thin as you prefer.

Step 3

Take any dark brown shadow and place it on the outer V and blend it in the crease an blend it over the black eyeshadow you applied earlier.

Step 4

Take any vanilla colored eyeshadow and place it on the lid, blend it into the darker colors with a clear blending brush.

Step 5
Take your favorite liquid eyeliner and line your eyes, use the black shadow as a guideline, but don’t make the eyeliner bigger than that. Blend over the eyeliner with the black shadow you used before hand.

Step 6

Apply the dark brown shadow under the eyes and blend it in. then use you favorite mascara and coat your lashes as you prefer it. For highlight use the vanilla colored eyeshadow.

Step 7

Finish the rest of your face, like you would normally do on a daily base and add any lipstick you prefer.
