Things I want to achieve in 2021

Hey my loves,

In today’s blog post I am going to talk a little bit about what I want to achieve in 2021. At the end of 2020 I was thinking about a new years resolution list, you know a typical thing. But, because of how awfully wrong everything went in 2020 and especially with everything that was on my list for 2020 I decided I am going to do a list of things I want to achieve that were out of context with the pandemic and would not rely on my leaving my apartment (even though travel and more dating will always be on the list when this whole thing is over).

So I started making a small but impactful list that would set my mindset for 2021. These are all things I hopefully can achieve and that will enrich my life.

I want to finish all of my exams for my master degree.

I have two papers left and one oral exam before I start writing my master thesis. My plan is currently to write one paper this winter term and then one paper in summer, as well as take the oral exam in my summer term. Hopefully it all works out, so that I can start working on my thesis around October 2021.

I want to read more books.

Especially, I want to read more books in the field I want to work in. I love to educate myself further besides my studies, especially because I want to end up working in the field of marketing. So for this winter break I researched some books of which I want to read at least 2 to 3 and educate myself further on topics of marketing, content marketing, social media marketing and writing.

I want to be better organized and all in all cleaner in my way of living.

Now, that I have a bigger space and enough storage space I want to keep everything organized, clean and in place. I am trying to tidy a bit everyday and have a cleaning schedule that I like to follow as best as I can.

I want to include better and healthier foods into my eating habits.

With lockdown and the move I had been eating pretty crappy and irregular the past couple of months. And I also got so lazy when it got to cooking. In the beginning of my move I did not have a working stove for almost two weeks so I had to order so much food. As of the end of January I am back on my grind with eating low-carb and a lot of veggies. I feel so much more energized and motivated, its so crazy how food has an effect on your mood.

All in all it might not seem much, but I personally think a smaller list is always better. You can much rather add things along the way instead of not feeling the high of ticking something of it.

What are some of your goals you want to achieve this year? Let me know.

I hope you are all happy, healthy and excited for your goals of 2021.

How to achieve your goals in the New Year

Hey my loves,

In today’s blog post I am going to talk about how you can achieve your New Years goals and what I like to do to make sure I reach mine. If you want to know my goals for 2020 check out my blog post where I talk about them.

“A dream written drown with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by actions makes your dream come true.” – Greg Reid

Here are my five rules that will set you up for success:

Envision your goals clearly.

Before you get started make sure you know what each goal you have entails. Envision it clearly and write it down. This will make it easier in the long run to see what you have to do in the early stages of your goals.

Limit your goals.

Set no more than three to five goals to achieve in a year. Sometimes we underestimate the work that has to go into our goals. So it’s better to have fewer goals than you would think you want to have. If you have achieved all of your goals you can always add more throughout the year. Also, sometimes goals can build on each other. For example, one of my goals is to eat more vegetarian meal throughout the week, another step could be to go completely vegan.

Reason.

Make sure you know why you set your goals. It is much more likely that you achieve your goals if you have emotion and will behind it. You need to make sure you really want to reach your goals and you have to make sure you doing it for you not for anyone else.

Make it a habit.

Identify what you have to do and slowly make it into a habit so that it is not much of a task but rather something you do everyday. I have read somewhere that it takes 21 days to make something a habit, so don’t put yourself down when it doesn’t work right away.

Progress Check-Up.

Check in on your progress once in a while. This will immensely help you actually achieve your goals. You can always change it around a little. Sometimes what we do to achieve our goals need a little adjusting, checking in once in a while makes sure we stay on the right track.

How do you plan on achieving your goals? Let me know in the comments.

I wish you all a wonderful day.

My 2020 Goals

Hey my loves,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Can you believe it? A new freaking decade.

Last year I did not share my resolutions with you, but this year I thought it would be fun to share my 2020 goals with you. I believe a new year gives us the opportunity to start fresh and to try to better ourselves. I also believe it does not need to be the start of a new year to do so. Do whatever you want and makes you happy!

My goals for this year are goals I already started working on in the end of last year, some of them are things that are always on my list, some are new. I don’t think we’re ever done improving ourselves.

My Goals

I want to be more aware of our world. I want to do everything I can to help to improve it, even the smallest things matter and everyone can do something. I will try to be more conscious when I go grocery shopping I want to minimize my single plastic use as much as my wallet let’s me do it and I want to eat less meat. I already am 30%-ish vegetarian, but I want to try to get this number up to at least 50%.

I want to use my time on this earth. I want to give back and I want to enjoy myself a little more. In 2020 I want to be a little more adventurous and take more day trips or little vacations. I want to explore as much as I can and I want to experience new things. I also want to give back to the community. In the new year, I will try to find something where I can do something that helps the less fortunate. I have little myself, but you can always find something to give back.

I want to improve my health. 2019 has been a struggle of a year for me, mentally and physically. In 2020 I want to take charge of my body and mind. I already am watching what I eat, but I want to include more exercise and more positive things to better my mental health. I want to take care of myself.

I feel like these are pretty good goals for myself in 2020. Achievable goals, I think, at least. What are your resolutions/goals for the new year? Let me know in the comments. I would really love to know.

I wish you all a wonderful first month of 2020 and lots of love and laughter.
