Sweat Proof Makeup for Summer – 2016

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing my go-to, sweat proof makeup for summer. As you might have seen in my latest haul (link is going to be at the end of the entry) I recently bought a few items to perfect my makeup for summer.

I love wearing makeup but during the hot summer days it can get quite annoying. I’ve found a way to wear makeup that works perfect for me. So here you go:

Everything I used:

all.jpg

base1.jpg

  1. Start of with a clean and moisturized skin.
  2. Apply a thin layer of Nivea Men – After Shave Balsam in Sensitive.
  3. Follow with a primer that works for you. I found that Rimmel London – Fix & Protect Make Up Primer with SPF 25 works the best for me.
  4. Color correct if you think you need it. Long nights, long days, little sleep – always means tired skin for me, so I always use a brightening color corrector. Mine is by NYX and it’s the Color Correcting Liquid in Yellow.
  5. Apply your foundation or in my case the Bourjois – 123 Perfect CC Cream in light beige.
  6. Conceal any blemishes and dark circles. I find that the CC Cream covers up my dark circles pretty good so I use less concealer under my eyes than I would normally do. Also I don’t conceal very heavy because I think it gives off a more natural look.
  7. I always contour or at least bronze up my face to give back a bit of definition. I’ve used the Maybelline – Master Contour by Facestudio in Medium to contour my cheeks, forehead, jawline and very lightly my nose. SAMSUNG CSC
  8. Now it’s time to set everything. I start off by baking my under eye are and lightly dust loose powder over my t-zone with my Rimmel London – Match Perfection Loose Powder in Transparent.
  9. Then I set my contour and lightly bronze up my face with the Bourjois – Bronzing Powder in 52 Peaux mates.
  10. Moving onto blush, I used KIKO Milano – Rebel Bouncy Blush in Treasure Rose.
  11. At last I highlight the top of my cheek bones, my cupids bow and the tip of my nose with my trusted The Balm – Mary Lou Manizer. SAMSUNG CSC
  12. I don’t like to wear a lot of eye makeup because I tend to get very oily during summer time. So I only use one sparkly eyeshadow all over in this case the KIKO Milano – Eyeshadow in 118. (at least during the daytime)
  13. For my brows I use the Rimmel London – Brow this Way Brow Gel in Medium Brown.
  14. And I always use a waterproof mascara, this time I used the L’Oréal Paris – Volume Million Lashes Mascara in Black.SAMSUNG CSC
  15. I love wearing lipsticks and during summer I love to wear popping, bright colors just like the combination of these two products: p2 – Perfect Look Lipliner in 131 Raspberry and p2 – Pure Color Lipstick in 016 High Line.

A little piece of advice

If you recreate this look start with your eyes so that you don’t ruin your finished face make up with any fallout that might happen.

Face

face products.jpg

Apply your primer. I used the Nivea Men – After Shave Balsam in Sensitive.

Color correct. I used a green toned concealer to conceal any redness and an orange based concealer for my under-eyes. The products I used were NYX – Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in Green and KIKO Milano – Dark Circle Tone Eraser in 02 Orange.

Apply your foundation. I used a brush to blend in my L’Oréal – Perfect Match Foundation in N2. Vanille in my opinion you get the best application with it for this foundation instead of my beloved beauty blender.

Apply your concealer. I used my MAC – Pro Longwear Concealer in NC 20 very lightly under my eyes and on any imperfections the foundation did not cover.

Set your concealer and foundation. I used my Rimmel – Stay Matte Long Lasting Powder in Transparent to set under my eyes and in my t-zone.

Apply your bronzer. I lightly bronzed up and sculpted my face by using my Bourjois – Bronzing Powder in 52.

Apply your blush. I used my newest addition to the family the Alverde – Shimmery Blush in 10 Secret Rose.

Highlight! I used The Balm – Mary-Lou Manizer to highlight the top of my cheekbones, the tip of my nose and my cupids bow.

Lipstick Time! I used my beloved KIKO Milano – Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick in 602 Natural Rose.

Eyes

SAMSUNG CSCApply ‘Sunrise’ to the inner and outer part of your eye lid leaving space in-between.

Apply ‘Afterglow’ in the middle of your lid and lightly blend it into ‘Sunrise’. I would recommend to use a clean brush for the blending part. Apply a mix of ‘Horizon’ and ‘Solstice’ in your crease and outer-v and with a clean blending brush blend it lightly into the other colors.

Using an eyeliner brush and the color ‘Nightfall’ to create a small line on the upper lash line. Then go ahead and wing it out. Go as crazy or as small as you prefer!

Apply ‘Skyline’ with a pointed eyeshadow brush on your lower lid blending it out as low as you like. Then go in again with ‘Nightfall’ and line your lower waterline, blending it into ‘Skyline’.

SAMSUNG CSC

Apply your favorite mascara on your top an bottom lashes. I used about 2-3 coats of the L’Oréal – Volume Million Lashes Mascara in Waterproof.

Now onto the brows. I used my p2 – Eyebrow Express brow pencil in 30 brilliant brown to fill in any spare parts and to set it I used my trusted Rimmel – Brow This Way Brow Gel in 030 Medium Brown.

Spring Make Up Look – 2016

Hey my loves,

today I’m sharing a look with you I created for this year’s Spring season inspired by the upcoming trends. I took my own spin on using blue eyeshadow! Here’s what the end result looks like (oh and fyi I created this look before I touched up my roots and trimmed my hair):

The Eyes

Since I have green eyes I thought blue eyeshadow on the lids would not go with my eye color so I thought how can I create a look with using blue, and since I had a blue winged liner for last years make up look, I decided to smoke out my under-eye. By the way, that’s the look I’m talking about: Color Pop – Make Up Look – Spring 2015

I kept the eyeshadow look on the upper lid fairly simple. It’s pretty much my everyday go-to look except I don’t wear eyeliner on an every day base. But I wanted something simple for the top, so I went for a gold and brown mix. Here are all the products I used for my eyes:

SAMSUNG CSCSAMSUNG CSCSAMSUNG CSC

Products used on the upper lid:

  • Catrice – Chocolate Nudes Eyeshadow Palette in 010 Choc’ Let It Be
    • I used a mixture of the 5th and 1st shadow (from left to right) and applied it on my lid, then I used the 3rd color as a transitioning color in the crease and after it, I applied the 4th color lightly over that. Lastly I applied the 2nd color as a brow bone highlight.

Products used on the under eye-area and lashes:

Products used on my eyebrows:

The Face

Now let’s talk about the face. I used a mixture between two foundations, because I’m currently in between colors and also because one of them is more hydrating than the other. And I forgot to but my primer to the products, but I used the Nivea Men After Shave Balsam in Sensitive. Here is everything I used on my face:

In order of applying it:

The Lips

First I used the lipliner to outline my lips and then I filled in with my lipstick.

Valentine’s Day – Date Night Look – February 2016

Hey my loves,

today I’m sharing my easy smoky eye with you that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day! I hope you like it and if you recreate it make sure to tag me! Leave me a comment and tell me what you’re doing on Valentine’s Day and especially what you think about this look!

Products I used for my face:

For a base I applied my primer, with the Nivea one you have to work the product in until it gets sticky and trust me when I say a little goes a long way. Because my dark circle are at their worst in the moment I used a orange toned concealer and then a peach colored one over that. Then I applied a mixture of the foundations (2 pumps Maybelline, 1 small dot of KIKO) and applied those with a beauty blender all over my face, don’t forget to blend down your neck. Because the foundation hadn’t the coverage I wanted I used the Rimmel concealer to cover any spots that you could see through and to highlight under the eyes I used a lighter concealer. To set my under-eye and T-zone I applied my powder with a large powder brush and then continued to contour my face. I was very light handed so that the contour wouldn’t be too hard. After I was done with contouring I moved on with blush and highlighter. I used the highlighter on top of my cheek bones, the tip of my nose and on my cupids bow.

Products I used for my eyebrows:

I filled my eyebrows in with a taupe colored eyeshadow and then used the brow gel from Rimmel to hold them into place. (Please excuse my messy eyebrows, need to get them done asap!)

Products I used for my eyes:

To create this eye make up I started with the lightest shade in the palette and used it as a brow bone and inner corner highlight. Later on I used a bit of the Mary-Lou Manizer to intensify the highlight even more. Then I used the darker pink shade in the crease as a blending color. After that I applied the second color from the right all over the lid and then ,using the blending brush I used to apply the pink color with, blended the crease and lid color together. I then repeated this step once more and after that I took the darkest shade on a smaller precision shader brush and concentrated the color to the roots of the lashes and then blended it up lightly. To blend the darkest color into the base color I picked up the second color again and blended it over the line between those two shades. For the under-eye I combined the two darkest colors and blended them carefully. After that I took the dark pink shade and blended it around the outer edge of the colors. To finish the look I first applied a coat of Volume Million Lashes Mascara to the bottom and lower lashes and finished it up with another coat of the Catrice mascara.

Products I used for my lips:

To outline the lips I used a drugstore lip liner from the brand Trend it up! and over that I applied the Lipstick in Rodeo Drive.

And that’s the finished look guys! Like I said it’s pretty quick and easy! I hope you enjoyed this entry, make sure to give it a thumbs up if you did!

I wish you all a wonderful day!
