this past week I have been on holiday with my family in the south of Germany. And boy, oh boy, was I in need of a vacation. After writing three papers and preparing an oral exam in just under six week I was mentally exhausted. We spend six days with my family and basically did nothing but relax and we had an absolute luck with the weather – almost 30 degrees.
Like I said, we didn’t do much, but I took the time to go on a walk by myself just to reflect on the past nine months as well as to get some me-time in. I love the nature here in south-Germany and just took it all in. Spending time with yourself is so important, at least that’s what I learned. But as I am writing this, I can’t wait to get back into things back home.
The little towns around here are just so beautiful and colorful and especially with the amazing blue sky it looked stunning. I just love it here, although I like the quiet and the little towns, I could actually never live here, you literally have to drive everywhere and there is almost no public transportation in the smaller villages. Therefore it’s a perfect vacation spot!
The last two weeks of September will be filled with some amazing things, but also will be quite exhausting, so to spend a little quality time with my family was definitely a big must. As well as for my own well being. I came to some realizations and also had a few ideas for my bachelor thesis, which I will probably be start writing in the early months of 2019.
in today’s blog post I will share my favorite moments and favorite products from February. I had one week of Uni left and after that I went on holiday for a couple of days. After my holiday I got super ill and had to take really good care of my health as well as my skin so here are my highlights and favorites:
If you want to read all about my holiday, check out this entry:
In today’s post I’m sharing some pictures with you I took with my iPhone while my aunt and I visited the “New Pinakothek” which is a museum in Munich that shows European art from the 19th century. I thought it would be nice to share my Top 5 art pieces that I loved the most.
I can highly recommend going to the Pinakothek and myself and my aunt already planned to check out the “Pinakothek der Moderne” next time I’m visiting, because we really enjoyed the visit.
Peonies | 1871 – Anselm Feuerbach
My aunt and I immediately fell in love with this piece. We even zoomed in and made a background for our phone.
The Dancer Loie Fuller – Francois Rupert Carabin
I feel in love with this statue. It is so small but so beautiful detailed and I don’t know it just spoke to me. I really love this piece.
Fountain in the Park of Sanssouci Palace near Potsdam – Theo van Rysselberghe
This one though, so amazing. If you look closely you can see that the entire painting is painted with dots. That must have been so much work and had to take super long, but I really love it.
Der Schmadribachfall – Joseph Anton Koch
While I liked the picture, it’s a little darf for my taste, it still shows up in my Top 5 because I thought it was super smart to hang it in front of this vibrant read wall. I personally think that the picture stands out way better and I kinda love the contrast between the darkness and light. What do you think?
Amazon – Louis Tuaillon
This one I loved because it reminded me of one of my favorite movies of all time: Wonder Woman. Who gets this reference? Let me know in the comments.
I hope you enjoyed my last entry about my Holiday. Make sure to check out the other two entries.
first of all, so sorry there weren’t new post the past couple of weeks, I was super sick and all I did was sleep and watch Netflix, because I couldn’t do anything else after I got back from my holiday. I’m slowly feeling like myself again and am definitely ready to write again.
In today’s post I share with you one of my trips I did with my family during my holiday. The day after I arrived we went to Chiemsee and also went on a tour of the castle “Herrenchiemsee”. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we had such nice weather and the castle was beautiful. If you are ever in Bavaria you should definitely take a tour of the castle.
To get to the castle you have to go on a small ship that takes you to the island.
I mean look at this beautiful view of the Alps.
It’s super photogenic and looks stunning, even in Winter time.
I can only imagine how much fun it is to walk around the park in summer.
This is a big castle and it was never finished because he didn’t have enough money.
Those doors are absolutely gorgeous, aren’t they?
I had so much fun exploring and walking around.
I hope you enjoyed this entry and if you did make sure to give it a thumbs up.
as you might know last week I went on holiday to South Germany to visit my family. I had such an amazing time and got to spend some quality time. But we also did some fun and interesting sightseeing and of course we had to go shopping. Today I’m going to share pictures of the places we went to:
I travelled to Bavaria on Sunday 20th and on that day we didn’t do anything, except to go on a walk in the beautiful town they are living in (you can see a pic above).
On Monday 21st we then travelled to Landshut and visited the ‘Trausnitz Castle” and did a little bit of shopping in the city.
On Tuesday 22nd we drove to Munich, which was about a 35 minutes drive from where we were. We visited ‘Nymphenburg Palace’ and the ‘Chinese Tower’ and also went a little bit shopping in Downtown Munich. I finally bought myself the ‘MAC – Pro Longwear Concealer’.
Wednesday 23rd was probably one of my favorite days, because we got to see so much and also because we went on a little road trip. And I LOVE road trips. We drove to ‘Linderhof Palace’ and had a little tour of it, sadly we weren’t allowed to take photos inside the palace, but it was stunning. After the palace we drove through ‘Garmisch-Partenkirchen’ to a little town called ‘Mittenwald’ which literally looked like Santa Town. We ate some delicious pizza and took a stroll through the small town. After that we drove back and made a stop in ‘Murnau’ at a beautiful lake, where I quickly jumped out of the car and took some pictures.
My last full day was Thursday 24th and on that day we drove to the historic city of ‘Regensburg’ and went shopping. Sadly I left on Friday 25th afternoon, but I had the best holiday I could wish for. The weather was pretty good except the day I was leaving and I had so much fun. But enough rambling, here are some of the photos I took:
