Cattier Paris – Masque Argile – Green Clay Mask – Review

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing a product with you that I have been trying for the last couple of weeks and absolutely adore! It’s the ‘Cattier Paris – Masque Argile – Green Clay Mask’!

This product is truly amazing and I only have good things to report about it! I used it so much that it is almost empty, but I will definitely re-buy it! This mask is intend to remove excess oil and is supposed to act refreshing and balancing for the skin and all I can say is that it does really work! Your skin feels brand new after using this product and your skin looks and feels younger and a lot brighter! I use a brush to apply the mask to my face because I find that you get a more even application of the product and also that you use a lot less product! It only takes 10 minutes to dry and I love that it is that quick and easy! I would recommend this to everyone with blemished and oily skin, I have combination skin and acne, and it still works amazing. I apply it only to the areas where I don’t get dry patches and apply a layer of moisturizer afterwards, so it works perfectly! Whenever I used this product my skin felt amazing and it also cleared my skin very well!

Cattier Paris also has masks for other skin types so if you’re more of the dry skin type I’m sure the other products of this range will work just as amazing as this one!

Have you tried this mask before? What were your experiences with it? Let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoyed this entry and if you did make sure to give it a thumbs up, I would really appreciate it!

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Long Train Journey Essentials – 2016

Hey my loves,

today I’m sharing my essentials I bring with me for long train journeys. On Sunday I’m going to spend about six hours on a train to visit my family in South Germany and I thought I would give you an inside to the things I’m bringing with me to keep me entertained during my journey.

The Essentials

I always use a big bag or in this case my beautiful printed backpack from Bonprix. And to keep me entertained in various ways I bring different forms of entertainment:

  • writing pad & pen
    • I’m probably going to bring more than just one pen, but for this photo one was more than enough. I usually bring a pencil and some highlighter pens with me as well.
  • Sudoku
    • I love doing Sudoku and this one is an especially hard on with 12×12 and 16×16 ones.
  • Diary
    • I always bring my diary no matter where I go, I write blog ideas down in there and have my calendar always with me.
  • a Book
    • I haven’t gotten around to finish this one so I’m bringing “Chris Carter – The Crucifix Killer” with me even though I have about 150 pages left, but I didn’t want to bring another since I’m planning on reading the whole series of the ‘Robert Hunter Thriller’.
  • Tablet, Phone & Headphones
    • I’m not bringing my laptop with me on this trip so instead I’m taking my tablet from Samsung with me, so I can still watch Netflix and Youtube on a bigger screen than my phone. And also I’m hoping for internet on the train so I can binge watch the second season of ‘Daredevil’ on Netflix.
    • On my phone I have installed my Audible app with a new audio book, last time I listened to a book by Sebastian Fitzek called ‘Das Joshua Profil’ and this time I bought ‘Amokspiel’ by the same author.
    • And last but not least I always bring my headphones for listening to music, my audio book or to watch Netflix and YouTube.
  • Lip Balm, Tangle Teezer and Sanitzing Hand Gel

And of course I bring snacks and drinks, but I haven’t bought them yet. But one of my food essentials is bubble gum or some sort of refresher. And I usually buy a couple of magazines at the train station. And I forgot to put this to my essentials photo, but I also am bringing a portable charger with me just in case I don’t have a power outlet at my seat.

What are your travel essentials on longer journeys? Tell me in the comments. And if you enjoyed this entry make sure to give it a thumbs up and feel free to share it on any social media platform.

10 Things I do to destress

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing with you 10 of my destress methods, when I feel tense and stressed. Stress isn’t good for your mind, nor your body, so I try not to let it get it in my head too much, but you know, sometimes the world doesn’t move like you want  or you just have to much on your plate. So here are 10 things I do when I’m stressed and need a timeout:

Read a book

I’m a book sucker. I love reading and it’s one of the things I love most doing to destress. Other than watching a movie I really feel involved in the story line and my imagination just runs wild when I read. Simply put, you just don’t have time to think about your life, because you’re imagining this world created by an author. Here are 5 books I would recommend for you, that I absolutely loved:

At the beginning of this year I also took some time to write down book titles that I wanted to read. I thought I would share them with you! Have you read any of them? Let me know in the comments and tell me what you thought about them! Here are my Top 5 “Want to Read” books:

Listen to music

Music can just be as addicting as a good book. So of course this is on my list of things to destress. A good song can change your mood in seconds. Sometimes when I feel extremely stressed I pick one song (whatever one comes to my mind) and dance to it, you can literally feel the stress fading away. My playlist changes monthly, so here is what I’ve been listening to these past couple of weeks:

If you’ve seen my January Favorites 2016 you know that a Coloring Book for Adults has been a favorite of mine. And it is a great way to destress! There are so many great options out there so everyone can find something they’re going to like. Here are 5 options of a coloring book:

Take a bath

I love a good hot bath! I usually go bathing once a week, mostly on Sundays! It’s so relaxing and you get to just lay there and do nothing or read a book! When I get the chance I use my favorite Lush bath bomb (Pink Bath Bomb) but anything that makes bubbles I love, there are even relaxing scents in the bath section in a drugstore near by! I love it!

Do Yoga

So, this has been added quite recently to be honest, but I’ve been doing Yoga for about 2 weeks now, and it’s strangely very calming. I follow the instructions of Adrienne, she has her own YouTube Channel called Yoga with Adrienne and I love her, she has a very calm voice and her Yoga for Beginners Video is the one I’m doing most of the time, but when I’m stressed I follow the instructions of this video:

Turn my phone off

Yes, that’s a thing! You can actually turn your phone off and trust me when I say it’s the most relaxing thing EVER! We’re so used to be connected with the outside world, that we don’t actually experience it anymore, so to turn your phone off, whether it’s for an hour or a whole day, changes a lot! I don’t do this regularly, but when I feel anxious and stressed, I turn my phone off and don’t use any device that connects to the internet! I just take a book, or a coloring book, and read or color in. It’s super de-stressing and the urge to look at your phone every 5 minutes is gone very soon! Trust me.

Go on a walk

Fresh air and exercise is probably one of the best things you can do when you feel claustrophobic and stressed! It clears your mind so much and I absolutely love to go on walks! Sometimes I go alone and sometimes I ring a friend up and walk with her. Nature is a very calming thing and to see something else than just the screen of a computer or whatever it is you do daily is a good way to destress!

Watch YouTube Videos

Now this might seems to be a bit out there, but it works for me. I love watching videos, my favorite kind are Vlogs or funny compilation videos. To have a sneak in somebody else’s life, especially when they are productive and positive turns my mood around in an instance and I want to do stuff. And to watch a funny compilation videos I mean who doesn’t do that, right? Laughing is, and always has been, the best medicine for everything. Who do you like to watch? I’m always on the look for new YouTubers to watch. Tell me in the comments.

I love baking more than cooking. Not just because I think I am a better baker than cook, but mostly because the result is much prettier. I love trying new things and explore the world of sweets and healthier options of my favorite things and I find it very relaxing to put together the ingredients and create something with my hands. Over the last couple of months I created a lot of new things and shared them with you, so if you want to give baking a go as a destress method, here are three of my baking recipes:

Hanging out with friends

Last but not least, hanging out with my friends. I love my friends, hence why they are my friends, but when I’m with them I always feel better and forget the world a bit, while we’re goofing around. This is probably THE BEST WAY to destress, hanging out with your friends, talking with them, laughing until you’re crying, watching a movie or try out the fun filters on SnapChat (by the way if you want to follow me there, my username is: xoxojasmin91).

I hope I could give you a good overview on the things I do when I need to destress! Let me know in the comments, what your ideas are!

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Valentine’s Day – Date Night Look – February 2016

Hey my loves,

today I’m sharing my easy smoky eye with you that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day! I hope you like it and if you recreate it make sure to tag me! Leave me a comment and tell me what you’re doing on Valentine’s Day and especially what you think about this look!

Products I used for my face:

For a base I applied my primer, with the Nivea one you have to work the product in until it gets sticky and trust me when I say a little goes a long way. Because my dark circle are at their worst in the moment I used a orange toned concealer and then a peach colored one over that. Then I applied a mixture of the foundations (2 pumps Maybelline, 1 small dot of KIKO) and applied those with a beauty blender all over my face, don’t forget to blend down your neck. Because the foundation hadn’t the coverage I wanted I used the Rimmel concealer to cover any spots that you could see through and to highlight under the eyes I used a lighter concealer. To set my under-eye and T-zone I applied my powder with a large powder brush and then continued to contour my face. I was very light handed so that the contour wouldn’t be too hard. After I was done with contouring I moved on with blush and highlighter. I used the highlighter on top of my cheek bones, the tip of my nose and on my cupids bow.

Products I used for my eyebrows:

I filled my eyebrows in with a taupe colored eyeshadow and then used the brow gel from Rimmel to hold them into place. (Please excuse my messy eyebrows, need to get them done asap!)

Products I used for my eyes:

To create this eye make up I started with the lightest shade in the palette and used it as a brow bone and inner corner highlight. Later on I used a bit of the Mary-Lou Manizer to intensify the highlight even more. Then I used the darker pink shade in the crease as a blending color. After that I applied the second color from the right all over the lid and then ,using the blending brush I used to apply the pink color with, blended the crease and lid color together. I then repeated this step once more and after that I took the darkest shade on a smaller precision shader brush and concentrated the color to the roots of the lashes and then blended it up lightly. To blend the darkest color into the base color I picked up the second color again and blended it over the line between those two shades. For the under-eye I combined the two darkest colors and blended them carefully. After that I took the dark pink shade and blended it around the outer edge of the colors. To finish the look I first applied a coat of Volume Million Lashes Mascara to the bottom and lower lashes and finished it up with another coat of the Catrice mascara.

Products I used for my lips:

To outline the lips I used a drugstore lip liner from the brand Trend it up! and over that I applied the Lipstick in Rodeo Drive.

And that’s the finished look guys! Like I said it’s pretty quick and easy! I hope you enjoyed this entry, make sure to give it a thumbs up if you did!

I wish you all a wonderful day!
