Hey my loves,
It seems a little weird to write a blog post about travel while the whole world is dealing with something so unclear, but I truly just wanted to share my day trip to London, because I had so much fun there. I wanted to write this blog post so much earlier, but I just haven’t found the right time for it.
In the middle of January my bestie and I went for a day trip to London. We had the BEST time, so I thought I would share some of my impressions with you. We had around 12 hours to see as much as we possibly could and we squeezed in a lot.

We were so lucky with the weather it was supposed to be raining, which early in the morning it did, but instead we had a gorgeous blue sky and sunshine. The day started with a really early flight from Cologne to Stansted, but honestly it was so worth it having the night view of flying and it was weirdly calming to not see how high we actually were. We decided to take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street since we found a good breakfast spot close by.
Right when we got to the London we went to The Breakfast Club and had an epic breakfast and coffee, which was needed. I went for an avocado rye toast, which was extremely good. We also had booked a viewing for Sky Garden around elven-ish, so we had a little time and just wandered around.

We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to see, so we just took the tube everywhere or walked as much as possible. In preparation for our day trip I planned rough routes which led us alongside some great sightseeing points, but we just used it for a rough outline.
We walked a lot this day but also experienced the London tube, because some distances, especially from Marble Arch to Notting Hill, would have been too long of a walk. For Lunch we actually stopped at a Pret right at the Marble Arch, so we could sit a little and soak up the lovely sun. We also had a little wander around Covent Garden and looked at the entry to Chinatown.

I really want to go back to London and do some more sightseeing since we actually haven’t seen everything we wanted. Maybe this time we stay a little longer than 12 hours. But honestly, it is a real quick flight and definitely worth a trip. When everything settles with the current situation and life gets back to normal a trip to London is high up on my list of things I want to do.
